FAQ

Q: I don't see my IDE CDR drive in your program

A:
1. ASPI do not found your device. Not much we can do - the problem is linked with hardware and ASPI linked sofware.
For example reported problems with NT on motherboards with Intel chipsets solved after installing firmware Intel Bus Master IDE. Native Microsoft IDE Bus Driver not work.

2. Your drive respond with other device type code than CD-ROM(5). Also possible values WORM(4) and Optical Device(7). Next version will output all founded SCSI devices

Q: How i can handle mcodes.ini?

A: Information in mcodes.ini writed as in any ini file - there are sections and keys
Each section is a manufacturer code must be writed in square brackets( for example - [97:31:00])
In each section must be key NAME with manufacturer name (for example - NAME = Ritek Co.)
Additinally you can add keys for dye types from 0 to 9 (for example 1 = Cyanine )
< EXAMPLE START
[97:31:00]
NAME = Ritek Co.
0 = Cyanine (Color: Green,Blue)
3 = Cyanine (Color: Green,Blue)
5 = PhthaloCyanine (Color: Gold)
9 = PhthaloCyanine (Color: Gold)
< EXAMPLE END
Note: Information about dye types is very unsure. Interesting inforamtion about dye types gathered here

Q: I was told (read over internet) that only CDRW drives can read ATIP and CD-ROM drives can't. Is that true?

A: No. Mostly all of CD-ROM drives cannot read. But some can. We have found that our program working well with TEAC CD-540E (Win2000).
If you found other CD-ROM drives capable to read ATIP, please report
But Remember that not only CD-ROM drive is responsible for the ability to read ATIP. OS, ASPI and hardware participating too.

All Popup Remover
PopUp Killer is a small program which can be configured to automatically close previously selected Windows... cool uh? Well... this is basically the idea of the program, but since the first public version, No Popup has evolved from a purely manual application, where you had to manually select the PopUps to an intelligent program that can detect potential PopUp windows and close them so fast that you will not even have the time to see them!
